Age-in-place design, accessible and practical closet design, dual vanity, and walk-in- shower. Effective lighting, and an attention to detail, turned this bathroom into a suitable master bathroom for this couple. The introduction of pocket doors to the bedroom and the closet enhanced accessibility.

#demoday2021 and so it begins! Cabinets will go to a friend of one of the contractors. Appliances stay just in case the new ones don’t arrive on time. Microwave/refrigerator go into the #temporarykitchen in the dining room. Granite sadly discarded. Next... demo the soffits! What will we find?

#itsallabouttheplanning So, installment 3! Exhaustive, detailed drawings start with the decisions on appliances based on how/what you cook. Are you a #baker or a #gourmetchef .. are you a #vegan or #vegetarian or do you do your own #canning ... do you, as I do, #makehomemadepasta ...now you have to decide which stove/cooktop/oven. Which microwave (built in? Undercounter drawer? Over the range?) Refrigerator (counter depth? Built-in?).. how about other appliances like a warming drawer, a built-in coffee maker, or a wine refrigerator? This is the boring part, but critical to the success of the #kitchenrenovation2021 and the #designconceptintegrity ... #amarisdesign #staytuned
