A. Maris Bernard

A. Maris Bernard, ASID LEED ID+C is an award-winning interior and exterior designer. Her experience encompasses a wide range of market segments, including industrial, condominium, multi-family, retirement living, restaurant, corporate, and medical. Her unique expertise is in interior architectural detailing, space planning, furniture planning, construction documentation, and project management.

She collaborates with and has strategic alliances with many practicing architects, engineers, landscape architects, interior designers, and project managers. She will assemble the right team to meet the client’s needs and expectations. Her network also includes product suppliers, craftsman, and trade professionals to insure that your project is completed with superb quality and service.

Her diverse background includes employment with Thornton Landscape, Clossons, and Inner Space Design. She was the Design director at Loth, and led the multi-family, senior living, and residential design team at Miller Valentine. She is the owner and principal designer at A. Maris Design, in addition to her teaching responsibilities at the Art Institute of Ohio~Cincinnati.

A graduate from the University of Cincinnati’s DAAP program, she is a NCIDQ credentialed designer and a LEED accredited professional in Interior Design and Construction. A. Maris Bernard’s work has been featured in Spectacular Homes of Ohio and Pennsylvania (Panache, 2006) as well as in multiple local publications. She is a two-time past-president of the Ohio South/Kentucky chapter of ASID, and has been on the board of the Junior League of Cincinnati, the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, and the March of Dimes. She is currently a soprano in the May Festival Chorus.
